Safer Ineternet Day is worldwide on February 8 this year. The International Children’s Safety Service (ICSS) as the Hungarian consortium leader of the Safer Internet Program (SIP) organized a program at the Orczy Road College of the University of Public Service, Ludovika (NKE).

It was a great pleasure for us to be able to meet the guests in person this year, thanks to the support of the University of Public Service, Ludovika (NKE). Last year we were only able to hold this event online due to the COVID epidemic. On February 8, nearly 100 people took part in the Safe Internet Day programme in NKE.
The co-organizer of this year's SID was the University of Public Service, Ludovika (NKE), the cooperating partners in Hungary were the NCSC Hungary (NBSZ NKI), Quadron Cybersecurity Services, T-Systems Hungary and Google.
Dr. Balázs Bencsik, Director of the Regulatory Authority, Pál Bíró, Country Manager of Google Hungary, Ákos Solymos, cyber security expert of Quadron Cybersecurity Services., Vivien Lénárt, expert of the NCSC Hungary, Tamás Stecher, security specialist of T-Systems Senior Presales , Tibor Gyórai Lóránd, expert of the NCSC Hungary and Dr. Dorina Csalár, legal officer of NMHH gave lectures at the event.
The mentors dr. Csaba Krasznay, Head of the Cyber Security Research Institute of the NKE Eötvös Research Center, Fekete Zsombor, game designer, sociologist, Péter Kovács, employee of Google Hungary, István Nagy and Zoltán Sterner, employees of the ICSS, SIP lecturers.
At the event, SIP instructors presented the educational program, Be Internet Awesome curriculum, which helps not only children and teachers but also parents to navigate the world of the Internet and give information and tools them how to solve any problems they may encounter.
The children in 5 teams, with the help of one mentor, made several tasks based on the modules of the Be Internet Awesome curriculum curriculum: quiz play, storytelling, poster making, as well as interactive conversation and escape games. The kids really enjoyed the creative tasks.
At the event, a new competition for children from the International Child Rescue Service, the NBSZ Institute for Cyber Security and T-Systems was announced, a comic competition on Internet safety. The grand prize will be the filming of the two best comics. T-Systems, which is participating in the comic book competition as a jury, will invite the winners to the company’s CTRL headquarters, a citadel of cybersecurity professionals.
We hope to celebrate the 20th Safer Internet Day together again next year!
